The Jazz Hands perform jazz standards, jazz-rock classics, western swing, and jazzy originals using traditional Texas music instrumentation (acoustic guitar, steel guitar, fiddle, piano) in addition to a standard jazz rhythm section of bass and drums. The group is scale-able from solo vocal/guitar all the way up to 6-piece band, depending on the client's budget and space constraints. Their unique instrumentation provides a true Texas feel to this jazz ensemble, who cover everything from Sinatra to Steely Dan. Perfect for situations ranging from low-key background music at a corporate event to a full-on jazz dance party (wedding receptions, upscale venues, holiday gatherings), The Jazz Hands give listeners a true "taste of Texas" with their organic and authentic performances.

The Jazz Hands are the "sister band" of Texas Aces, with both bands being fronted by 4-time Texas Music Award ace Mike Clifford and sharing members between the two bands: Earl Adams (bass), Howard Kalish (violin/fiddle), Price Porter (steel guitar/electric guitar), and John Chandler (drums/percussion). This group has been performing together in Austin for over a decade, with hundreds of gigs under their belt at both private events and public venues. While there are a plethora of jazz bands in Austin, The Jazz Hands are one of a kind, a truly unique Texas jazz experience. |
